The best part of our tour with Mario was his knowledge of all things Athens, and his articulate delivery of historical events making it easy to understand and provided context. The added humour made the experience all the more memorable.
Mario made sure we got to see all of the most important places to visit in Athens and we loved how he pulled up exactly on time to the Changing of the Guard outside the Royal Palace, an experience in itself.

His knowledge of Greek history dating back to at least 3000 BC was amazing and truly gave us a great appreciation of the sites we visited. I told him he should be a University professor in Greek and ancient history. He was always on time and when he picked us up after our cruise for our last day in Greece it was like greeting a family member. We will always remember and treasure him as the best part of our trip. I highly recommend Private Greece tours for their tour guides, their vehicles (Sakis had a Mercedes AMG which rode beautifully and was such a smooth ride), their knowledge of ancient Greece and for their professionalism. We were absolutely spoiled by our Tour Guide, Tolis who not only knew his country's history and culture inside and out but delivered this information in a frank and humorous fashion. Tolis was a delight to be with for our five days. Our every wish was granted and he made us feel special each and every day. The tour company provided us with a comfortable van with WIFI. They arranged all of our accommodations which were ideal. All of Tolis's recommendations like where to eat, what to see etc were fantastic. The tour was highly professional, adaptable when necessary and frankly exceeded all of our expectations.
